Job Description

Job Title: Relocations and Space Planning Contractor

Position Summary: Assists the Facility & Admin Services team with employee relocations, furniture installation and disassembling, and related product moves. Develops relationships with others during the relocation process and adapts to ever-changing priorities and directions as required to achieve complete customer satisfaction.

Job Duties: Monitors and completes work assignments daily and ensuring project and completion schedules are met.

Loads and unloads furniture product to project site by installing, disassembling and moving product accordingly, and assists with employee moves to include computers, ergonomic equipment, and telephones.
Reviews drawings for furniture installations for accuracy as specified and approved by management. Promptly identifies any deviations or changes required in the field and ensures management is aware prior to any work is performed.
Completes weekly employee moves and new hire setups.
Provides job status updates, and provides weekly information to Manager.
Maintains furniture inventories to prevent shortages and limit furniture build delays.
Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Occasional travel to other locations/worksites may be required based on business
Competencies: needs.

Knowledge of furniture products and proper installation techniques/procedures.
Knowledge and understanding of construction processes and ability to understand, identify and work off of two-dimensional floor plans.
Skill using Microsoft Office programs (i.E., Word and Excel).
Ability to provide effective customer service to individuals within the entire organization.
Education and Experience High School diploma or GED required.

Education and Experience
(preferred): Experience in the following areas is preferred: furniture moving services, furniture assembly, furniture installation, furniture-related customer service, and working with major manufacturer s furniture products.

Other Job Requirements: Must be able to regularly work full-time at the assigned location and arrive to work at the scheduled start time.

Must be able to work in a collaborative, on-site work environment, which will include participation in unscheduled discussions and troubleshooting on an as needed basis.
Physical Demands: Moderate Work: Work involves sitting, standing, and/or moving from one location to another. It might include the ability to climb, balance, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl at differing elevations. Typically includes exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up-to 20 pounds of force frequently.
